Call For Papers
The 2nd International Symposium on Ecolinguistics & the 19th Symposium on Functional Linguistics and Discourse Analysis is going to be held at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) on August 26-27, 2017. The symposium aims to promote ecolinguistic studies in China as well as in the world, especially the Hallidayan approach to ecolinguistic studies. The symposium is organized by the following four sections of Beijing Foreign Studies University: the National Research Centre for Foreign Language Education, the Advanced Academy of Linguistic Science, the Editorial Office of Foreign Language Teaching and Research, and Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press. It is co-organized by the journals of Language Sciences, Journal of World Languages (Routledge, Taylor & Francis), Functional Linguistics (Springer) and Foreign Languages in China (Beijing, HEP).

Abstracts should be approximately 500 words in Chinese or 250 words in English. All abstracts should be sent via email to ecolinguistics@163.com, themed with “ecoling2017_abstract”.

Registration Fees should be Paid Onsite, USD 120 / person, 50% discount for students.
*Valid student ID must be presented at the registration desk. Full registration fee will apply if current student ID is not provided.
Accommodation
Meals are provided during the two days of the symposium. The participants are responsible for travel expenses and hotel fees.
