Some 3,000 security forces were deployed around the French capital for a third weekend of protests against the pass. French authorities are implementing the pass because the highly contagious Delta variant is making strong inroads.
A 'vaccine music festival' was underway in London on Saturday to encourage more people to get vaccinated against COVID-19. The four-day event in the east of the city is taking place in a local park where there's live music, free food, and walk-in coronavirus shots.
More than 400,000 AstraZeneca vaccine doses from the United Kingdom arrived in Kenya on Saturday. It's the first of two consignments - totalling 817,000 - destined for Kenya as a bilateral donation from the UK.
