US Rejoins Paris Agreement 

US President Joe Biden on Wednesday signed an executive order returning the United States to the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate change.

美国总统乔•拜登1月20日签署行政令，使美国重返2015年签署的关于气候变化的《巴黎协定》。

Hours after being sworn in as the 46th President of the United States, Biden signed in the Oval Office an executive order that returns his country back to the Paris Agreement on climate change, reversing his predecessor Donald Trump's decision to abandon the deal.

在宣誓就任美国第46任总统几小时后，拜登在椭圆形办公室签署了一项行政命令，让美国重返《巴黎协定》。此前，美国前总统特朗普宣布美国正式退出该协定。

"We are going to combat climate change in a way we have not done so far," he said before the signing.

拜登在签署文件前表示，“美国将以迄今为止尚未采取的方式来应对气候变化”。

Joe Biden on Wednesday also reversed the US process of withdrawing from the World Health Organization (WHO).

拜登当天还签署行政令，让美国重返世界卫生组织。

According to media reports, Biden picked Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease expert, to lead a US delegation at the WHO's annual meetings later this week.

据媒体报道，拜登将派遣美国顶级传染病专家福奇率领美国代表团参加本周晚些时候举行的世卫组织年度会议。
