President Xi Jinping on Wednesday sent a message to Joe Biden to congratulate him on his election as US president.

11月25日，国家主席习近平致电约瑟夫•拜登，祝贺他当选美国总统。

Promoting the healthy and stable development of China-US relations not only serves the fundamental interests of the people in both countries, but also meets the common expectations of the international community, he said.

习近平在贺电中指出，推动中美关系健康稳定发展，不仅符合两国人民根本利益，而且是国际社会的共同期待。

Xi said he hopes the two sides will uphold the spirit of non-conflict, non-confrontation, mutual respect and win-win cooperation, focus on cooperation, manage differences, advance the healthy and stable development of China-US ties and join hands with other countries and the international community to promote the noble cause of world peace and development.
