The 2024 Paris Olympic Games have officially ended with a spectacular closing ceremony. (Q1) In his closing speech, the president of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, stressed that in a divided world, the Olympics had inspired a culture of peace. (Q2) The Olympic flag was handed over to the mayor of Los Angeles, where the games will be held in four years’ time.
