狗年生肖邮票和《权力的游戏》人像邮票开始发行。

On January 6th, Year of the Dog stamp designed by graphic designer and artist Zhou Lingzhao went on sale throughout designated post offices around the country.

今年1月6日，由我国著名美术家、艺术家周令钊先生设计的狗年生肖邮票在全国指定邮局发行。

In cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, stamp buyers waited in lines outside post offices days before opening hours. Every year the New Year zodiac stamps' release is eagerly anticipated by collectors. Although China Post provides online sales, many local people, especially the elderly, queue up outside post offices with some even using items such as benches to save their place in the line and meanwhile chat with fellow collectors.

在北京/上海等城市，集邮爱好者们早在开售前几天就在门口大排长龙。每年新年生肖邮票的发行都备受邮迷瞩目。尽管中国邮政已经开通了线上预约销售，但是很多本地居民，特别是老一辈，仍然喜欢在邮局门口排队等待开售，他们有些甚至用椅子等用品占位，边排队边和其他的集邮迷们闲聊。

The stamps were designed by 98-year-old Zhou Lingzhao, a master artist who participated in devising China's national emblem and the emblem of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He also contributed to the design of the second, third and fourth editions of yuan notes.

今年的生肖邮票是由98岁高龄的艺术大师周令钊老先生设计的，他曾参与了我国国徽和人民政协会徽的设计。此外，我国发行的第二、三、四套人民币设计也都有周老先生的功劳。

A year ago, Zhou was commissioned by China Post to design the postal stamp to celebrate the Year of the Dog on the Chinese lunar calendar, which will begin on February 16th. He recalled the dog which accompanied him when he went into town in his youth, and recreated it on one stamp. And he paired it with another stamp on which he drew a mother dog and a puppy, both of the same indigenous breed which is often referred to as the "zhonghuatianyuanquan", or China rural dog.

一年前，周老先生受到中国邮政委托，设计戊戌狗年的生肖特种邮票。他想到了在自己年轻时陪伴自己一起前往镇上的一条狗，并把它再现于邮票之上。在与其相配套的另一枚狗年特种邮票上，他画上了一条母犬和一条幼犬，它们都是中国的特有犬种——中华田园犬。

On January 3rd, Britain's Royal Mail announced that characters from the award-winning hit fantasy TV series, Game of Thrones, will appear on a new series of stamps. The collection of 15 stamps will feature British contributions to the US show based on the books by George R. R. Martin.

本月3日，英国皇家邮政（Britain’s Royal Mail）宣布，斩获艾美奖多个奖项的热门剧集《权力的游戏》中的主角将会亮相一系列新发行的邮票。这套邮票共有15枚，体现这部改编自乔治·雷蒙德·理查德·马丁（George Raymond Richard Martin）同名小说的热播美剧中英国的贡献。

Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow and Arya Stark are among 10 characters featured on the set of stamps which will go on sale at UK post offices on Jan 23rd. The three are played by British actors Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington and Maisie Williams.

人像邮票共有10张，包括剧中主角丹妮莉丝·坦格利安（Daenerys Targaryen）、琼恩·雪诺（Jon Snow）、艾莉亚·史塔克（Arya Stark）等人，英国邮局将于1月23日正式开售。这三个角色由英国演员艾米莉亚·克拉克（Emilia Clarke）、基特·哈灵顿（Kit Harington）和麦茜·威廉姆斯（Maisie Williams）出演。

The fantasy production involves a very significant British contribution. Principal filming of the series takes place in Belfast, Banbridge and at locations elsewhere in Northern Ireland. Additional filming takes place in Scotland and other European locations including Malta, Croatia, Iceland and Spain.

In addition to the stamps there is an extensive range of products－exclusive souvenirs, limited editions and gifts, also issued by Royal Mail. The hit TV series Game of Thrones will come to its eighth and final season in 2019.
