樱花红陌上，

柳叶绿池边。

燕子声声里，

相思又一年。

A lookout from the suburb green:

Thickening fumes reek and reel.

Deer chases hot in the heartland;

Polang strikes close at heel.

 

II

 

Cherry blossoms flush over the paths,

Green willows shade the pier.

Twitter, twitter the swallows again;

Thoughts and yearnings through another year.

Spring Day’s Impromptu Poems

One

 

Looking afar to outskirts in green,

The lightly-spreading haze can be seen.

Seemingly deer run fast in the central plain,

To vie like wave upon wave once and again.

 

Two

 

In the wild field red cherry blossoms have a show,

On the pond ashore freshly green willows grow.

All the vernal swallows are chirping and singing,

More lovesickness begins with spring coming.
