Latest headlines from BBC news. My name is Mike Amblin.

The British Prime Minister has condemned what she called a sick and depraved terrorist attack outside the Houses of Parliament in London.

(Q1) Three civilians and a police officer were killed by a lone attacker who was then shot dead by police.

The murdered officer who was unarmed and guarding the gates to Parliament was Keith Palmer. (Q2-A) He was 48, a husband and father who've been a police officer for 15 years. He suffered multiple stab wounds. The other victims not yet named.

(Q2-B) Police know the identity of the attacker they say but they've given no details.

The country's top anti-terrorism officer told journalists the attack was probably motivated by Islamist extremism.

No group has admitted responsibility.
